Rochelle D. Tilghman Scholarship

The Rochelle D. Tilghman Scholarship was established in 2016 by her daughters, Mrs. Rashonda Alexander Roundtree and Atty. Maikieta Brantley to honor her life, professional, and personal achievements. Education was extremely important to Ms. Tilghman and she remained committed to earning multiple degrees, even after starting a family. She exemplified her
passion as a leader at Harris-Stowe State University (HSSU). Criteria includes the following: students must be female; achieved full acceptance to HSSU; have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale; complete HSSU scholarship application which inclues extracurricular activities, community involvement, honors and awards, and a personal statement (minimum 500 words) with career goals.
