Eddie G. Davis Scholarship
The Eddie G. Davis Scholarship was establised in honor Eddie G. Davis who serves as the President & Executive Director for the Center for the Acceleration of African American Business. He formed DaLite & Associates, LLC in 2001 to serve as a business consultant to small and mid-size businesses and also serves as Chairman of the Board for Justine Petersen Housing and & Reinvestment Corporation, Chairmen of the Economic Development Committee, St. Louis Black Leadership Roundtable and the Economic Empowerment Division Leader of the 100
Black Men of Metropolitan St. Louis. He is the past president of the St. Louis Minority Council and a past member and president of the St. Louis Board of Education. Mr. Davis was employed by AmernUE for 26 years and eventually served as the company’s Minority Business Developer in the Purchasing Department. He was selected as the 2009 National Minority Business Champion by the U.S. Small Business Administration and invited to Washington, DC to receive the award and to meet the President in the White House. He is married to Robin Saunders Davis and is the father of three adult children. This scholarship program is being initiated & funded by Friends of the Eddie G. Davis 41st Annual New Years Eve Gathering, December 31, 2014 for an individual who has expressed an interest in becoming an entrepreneur and who is enrolled in the School of Business. The Scholarship awarded is for $1,000.
