Janet Greer Davis Book Stipend

The Janet Greer Davis Book Stipend was established in 2017 by Ms. Leigh Davis in memory of her mother Janet Greer Davis. Two (2) $500 stipends annually will be awarded to non-traditional, part-time students pursuing a bachelor’s degree at Harris-Stowe State University (HSSU). The stipend is renewable for two years. Other selection
criteria includes full acceptance to HSSU; a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale; must complete a Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) form; must have demonstrated unmet, financial need as verified by Students by HSSU (required for need based programs); resident of St. Louis Metropolitan Area resident; complete HSSU scholarship application which inclues extracurricular activities, community involvement, honors and awards, and a personal statement (minimum 500 words) with career goals. Amount will vary depending on other financial aid.
